While training as a sex educator in New York, I became passionately concerned with the impact of body image on women and girls. According to the NIH, over 78% of women are unhappy with their bodies. It became my life's work to change this dreadful statistic and help women feel the confidence in their natural bodies that they deserve.
My approach is rooted in my own experience with healing my body image. I did not match the "ideal body type" society fostered, and felt inadequate. But I knew I would never feel complete trying to imitate society's norm. I needed to love myself, my own body!
As I dug into the causes of a poor body image, I realized there are four main factors damaging women's body image: Body shame, negative verbal messages (beliefs propagated through socialization), dysfunction created through diet culture and exercise gurus, and an underlying social standpoint that self-care and self-love are selfish.
I developed a synergistic technique combining neurological reset methods and emotional healing techniques. While identifying how women's body images are damaged and how they are healed, I learned to heal myself. It turned my life around. Joy and confidence came back to me.
Since then, I've worked with hundreds of women over thirty years who have gone from believing their bodies aren't good enough to feeling radiantly confident in their natural bodies.
